The mini-series follows the various homosexual affairs that novelist Vita Sackville-West and diplomate Harold Nicolson had while married to each other. This drama depicts Vita's tortured and very public affair with novelist Violet Trefusis. Set against the backdrop of WW1 Europe, the drama was for it's time a frank and daring in its depiction of lesbian love. Starring Janet McTeer, Cathryn Harrison and David Haig.
